1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest
1.1. The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Local Government and Housing Committee.
1.2. There were no apologies, substitutions or declarations of interest.
2 Homelessness - evidence session 5 - Minister for Climate Change
2.1. The Committee took evidence from:
Julie James MS, Minister for Climate Change
Amelia John, Director, Housing Policy Division, Welsh Government
Sarah Rhodes, Head of Homelessness Prevention, Welsh Government
Emma Williams, Director of Housing and Regeneration, Welsh Government
2.2. The Committee agreed to write to the Minister on issues relating to winter pressures.
2.3. The Committee requested further information from the Minister as to why only six local authorities had submitted Rapid Rehousing Transition Plans to the Welsh Government.
3 Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting and from the meeting on 14 December 2022
3.1. The Committee agreed the motion.
4 Homelessness - consideration of the evidence received under item 2 and of the key issues
4.1. The Committee discussed the evidence received and the key issues, and agreed to write to the Minister on a number of matters raised.
5 Consideration of the draft report on the Social Housing (Regulation) Bill LCM
5.1. The Committee agreed the report.
